In Part II of the conversation, Clay asserts that authenticity and telling the truth is an effective strategy. He describes several examples of when companies don't tell the truth. Companies who "fake it" with publicity get caught. He also posits in his book, that failures are nearly free and explains that ecosystems such as Open Source are competing with businesses not where they can out-succeed those businesses but where they out-fail them.
